We started in 2017 with a simple idea — that technology should solve real problems, not create new ones.
4m Consulting is a software engineering studio based in Nairobi, Kenya. We build custom software, automate what shouldn't need a human, and surface the business intelligence companies need to make clear decisions.
Over eight years we've delivered 80+ projects across 10+ industries — from IoT platforms to insurance portals, from logistics systems to open-source learning tools. The range is intentional. Different problems teach you different things about software.
We're not a generalist agency. We go deep in every engagement. The work matters, the code has to hold, and the client has to be able to run their business on it the day we ship.
Software that ships. Systems that hold.
Too much software gets built and then breaks under real conditions. Or gets delivered late, over budget, with half the features. We think the bar should be higher — that code should be reliable, maintainable, and actually do what it was built to do.
We also believe that most businesses have untapped data and automatable workflows sitting in plain sight. A good discovery process surfaces both. Then you build the right thing, not just a thing.
We start by understanding the problem, not the feature list. What are you actually trying to solve? What data do you have? What does the workflow look like today?
We define what gets built, in what order, and why. No surprises at delivery. If the scope needs to change, we talk about it early.
We design and build iteratively. You see real progress, not just a Figma file. The system gets tested as it's built, not after.
We handle deployment and make sure the system is running correctly in production before we hand it over. You don't inherit a broken environment.
After launch we're available. Systems need maintenance, bugs happen, requirements evolve. We stay close to what we've built.
